Valley of the Sun United Way Impact Center Mural

Valley of the Sun United Way is a non-profit investor in human development, serving individuals and families in Maricopa County, AZ. They hold many events with the gracious help of volunteers to help children succeed, end homelessness, and ensuring financial stability in the valley.

I was fortunate enough to be chosen to design a mural on an indoor 41' by 9' wall. I originally had the sketch done in Photoshop then spent a few days sketching out the mural on the wall with use of a projector. VSUW then held a single-day event for volunteers to help make this mural a reality. Images on the mural are symbols of Phoenix and its people. Towards the end of the event, I had volunteers place hand prints as leaves on trees to leave a mark of community and involvement on the work they did.The Impact Center is VSUW's their main location for many of their volunteer opportunities, although they also hold events all around the valley to directly help others.
